ducklings galore
I think these are wood duck chicklets :) They came down the hill, across the yard, bulldozed thru my gerberas, trotted in, thru, and out of the tractor enclosure, and headed out to the lake thru Justin's corner of the forest. It was hard to get any pictures at all, they were moving so quickly. I got 7 of them close enough to shoot, but, the other half dozen or so ran helter-skelter!

Anatomy of a bud
Took these at various time intervals starting yesterday
This is the first potential bloom of a new bush planted only last summer by the rock wall.
A couple hours later ~
Only a short while later ~
Another few minutes while I took Barnie for a walk ~
Early next morning (today)
5:30 a.m.
An hour later, opening up, soon to be in full bloom
7:30 a.m.
Ain't Mother Nature grand!!

Another cutie
Didn't have the zoom lens, didn't even have a normal lens. Here's the macro version of a chipmunk 12 - 15 feet away!
Eastern kingbird, perched way up on the top of the highest tree available.
It remained on the treetop long enough for me to fetch the zoom lens.
Wedding peony
