Moon over paradise

First 2 shots were @ 5:30 a.m.

 

The reflected moon displays most accurately.

 

At 8:30 a.m. ~

 

By 9 a.m. it disappeared without ever meeting the horizon.

A bright winter's day

Lots of activity going on outside my front window today.

 

 

These little fellows were very hard to photograph; they were just a flash of movement en masse in the pine tree.
First time I ever spied white-winged crossbills.

The brightest-displaying moon of the year ~ if you were lucky enough to be able to view it without cloud cover.

We hadn't laid eyes on the neigbhour's "Buddy" in many months. (not since the day he kept compromising his part in The Great Laneway Photo Shoot about 5 months ago) It's a happy relief to see him out and about again and looking so fine!

Happy New Years (or...we are not alone)

This guy traversed the lake from Oliver's Bay around to Miller's Bay first thing this morning. First coyote we've seen in months. Nice to see them out on the ice -- waaay out on the ice!
