The hen decided she'd like to try her luck at skating -- didn't go over very well~
Lucky for her, I missed the shot of her on her ass.
Heading back to the comfort zone.
Lucky for me,the sun shone upon her just as she was picking up speed to catch up with her mate, and going out of camera range. Note her prominent black-tipped bill.
